Town of Pageland

The Town of Pageland received an Economic Infrastructure grant to improve the reliability of sewer service to an existing industry. The pump station that served Conbraco Industries, a major employer in the area since 1968, experienced periodic interruptions in service that resulted in lost production and concerns about meeting the needs of its customers. Using grant funds, the town constructed a new pump station, gravity sewer lines and force main to ensure that the needs of Conbraco will be met in the future. As a result, Conbraco plans to construct a distribution center that will result in 62 new jobs and a capital investment of $13.1 million. Clearly, the Town of Pageland recognizes the importance of meeting the infrastructure needs of area industries in order to maintain the quality of life of its residents and ensure community sustainability.
